Coming off of an injury, I needed a gym that was going to be supportive and accommodating. SOIF has absolutely provided me with those things and more. The trainers come to each class with passion and a genuine interest in pushing me in a safe way. I’m looking forward to achieving my fitness goals through the support of SOIF.

Originally I chose them for the top-quality equipment and facilities (which are always immaculate). But what’s kept me there is the community. The environment is welcoming and supportive across age, gender, and level of advancement. Recently a lifter was attempting a squat PR and *everyone* at the gym stopped what they were doing to cheer her on — and no one cared how much weight was on the bar, it was *her* PR. This is commonplace at SOI and why I’ve done away with any ambitions I’ve had for investing in a home gym. Knowing that I get to walk in each day and share the journey with others has come to mean so much.

Sport of Iron Fitness is the best strength gym in the Hudson Valley! I had been looking for a Powerlifting/strength-focused gym in the area and am so happy to have found Matt (the owner) and his gym. I’ve been a member for almost a year now and I can say that every single trainer and employee at SOI is knowledgeable and friendly and always willing to go out of their way to help you if you have a question about the equipment or a specific exercise.
